We are honoured to have you visit Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre, an organisation committed to fostering local artistic expression. Guests may escape the bustle of the city at our Oakville, Ontario facility, which is situated on 12 acres of tranquil green space. Art lessons, workshops, camps, and exhibitions are just a few of the many creative outlets we provide for both adults and children. Our extensive collection of Canadian contemporary art features works by both well known and up-and-coming artists.
Our venue is perfect for hosting special events like weddings and corporate retreats. More than that, our gift shop is stocked with works by regional artisans. Our mission at Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre Company is to build a community centre where people from all walks of life and interests may gather to produce and enjoy art while also taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Sybil has made works of fibre art for the music departments at the University of Ottawa and Princess Margaret Hospital, as well as for the Emmanuel College and the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Toronto, where she has made copes. She’s quite the writer, having contributed to several fibreart periodicals. Books like “Pocket Eden,” “The Grannies,” and “The Milkwood Angel” are among her many works.
Dedicated themself to her community for the past 65 years by working to preserve its history. Once her five sons left the house, she was able to fulfil her dream of opening the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre. Her goal in life is to ensure that the 20,000-year-old valley, its historic structures, and the open land in it be preserved for the next generation.
